A Special Plea From HPPL

Dear Friend of HPPL,

We have a favor to ask of you! Over the last few months, the pleas for HPPL’s services have intensified especially for cats and kittens. Every day, numerous people contact the office asking to enroll animals in the foster care/mobile adoption program. And naturally, HPPL wants to say “YES!” to every person helping an abandoned animal.

However, right now our adoption days are slower than usual and we have many wonderful animals that have been with us for quite a while. This is especially true with our cats. Our foster parents are diligent about bringing the animals out to the adoption sites, but we just don’t have as many potential adopters coming to see our precious animals.

Therefore, we ask you to help us out. If any of you, your friends, coworkers or family members are considering adding a dog or cat to their home, please refer them to HPPL. As you know we have really great animals that need loving homes, and these cats and dogs are all posted on our website at www.hppl.org.

If someone sees a pet that they are interested in, they can contact us via phone (713-862-7387) or email (hppl@hppl.org) or just fill in a cat or dog application on the website (it is a non-binding document), so that our Program Services Manager can get the ball rolling.

We hold adoptions on Saturdays at the two locations listed on the website and we are certainly willing to accommodate people any day of the week if a Saturday doesn’t work for them.

The more animals we adopt out to quality homes, the more animals we can help come into our program. That’s been HPPL’s goal for 20 years and it remains what we strive to do.

Thank you for your support of HPPL,

Debby Ryan

HPPL President
